Miro holds a medical degree from Charles’ Univ. Prague, MUDr. (1989) and an MBA (2002) from Univ.of Pittsburgh.
He worked in clinical (internal) medicine for 9 years in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Czechia.
He has been with the MedTech industry for 25 years. Joined Johnson&Johnson Medical in 1999 and soon became Director, Clinical Economic Outcomes Central Europe. After leaving JNJ in 2008 he became president of CzechMed and holds the position thus far.
He has extensive experience with MedTechEurope. starting with JNJ in 1999, representing CzechMed as a member company in what was then Eucomed. In 2003 -2004 he chaired the ENL – Eucomed Enlargement Taskforce working with industry representatives from countries soon to become EU members. Since 2008 he is representing CzechMed in the National Associations Council. From December 2023 he serves on the Board of Directors of MedTechEurope.
Born in 1962, he is married and has no children.
